Art and Other Things

Interesting art pieces from around the world

It’s that exciting time of the year again. New York Fashion Week! F/W 11 trends are fresh on the runway and I want to share some new trends that I noticed. Click on the pictures to enlarge!

Glitter

Bold pants have always made a statement, but in F/W 11, pants have been transformed into sparkling glitters. Neutral colors have been paired with sparkles to give a polished look that catches everyone’s attention. If glitter pants are too much for you, don’t worry. Glitter has also been spotted on various tops and coats (Check out more DVF)!

Polka Dots

Some are claiming the polka dots are the new stripes. Polka dots are definitely the new pattern to be looking out for this season. Marc Jacob’s new collection incorporates everything polka dot, from stockings to dresses. Other brands such as Y-3 and Tommy Hilfiger have also followed this trend. You can use subtle polka dots (Y-3) or go for bold dots like Marc Jacobs. Dots are easy to incorporate into your daily outfit!

Red and Blue

Bright colors have been gracing the runway for S/S collection, and the same goes for F/W 11! The combination of red and blue has been seen most often on the runways. Combine two bright colors together to create a neat, yet vivid look. Wearing red and blue separately with more neutral colors to provide a spark for a boring outfit has also been seen! Try it out.
